Types of hydraulic couplers for skid steer
Over 25 years ago Faster launched the first 3-ports auxiliary lines block dedicated to skid steer loaders; this product, thanks to its outstanding performances and to the ease of use of a patented automatic decompression system, has gradually been homologated by the best CE machine manufacturers.
OEM companies can choose whether to install the general purpose series, available with 1/2" or 3/4" cartridge couplings, or to ask Faster developing a custom-designed product for their compact loader.
More recently the market trend is to produce increasingly powerful skid steer loaders; this has led to the development of 5-ports auxiliary line blocks, as well available as a general purpose product or designed to meet specific OEM's needs.
A simpler alternative, if the feature of connecting hydraulic lines with residual pressure on both sides is not mandatory, is represented by ISO 16028 individual quick-release couplings. These ones are also available in the version with locking sectors, particularly suitable for connecting hydraulic equipment that works with high frequency pulsating pressures.
