Innovation and performance drive Faster’s global success in quick couplings and multi-connection systems

Record Growth in Patents and Continuous Innovation Drive Faster, the Italian Global Leader in Quick Couplings and Multi-Connections for Hydraulic and Electrical Systems

Record growth in patents and continuous innovation define Faster, the Italian company that is the global leader in quick couplings and multi-connection systems for hydraulic and electrical lines. Part of Helios Technologies, with subsidiaries in the United States, Brazil, China and India, the company manufactures an average of 45 million components every year. “People often forget that Italy’s success is not only about food, fashion or tourism, but also about industrial manufacturing and innovation,” says CEO Matteo Arduini.

Innovation often lies in the details, such as a quick coupling or a multi-connection system that enables simple, fast and reliable connections day after day. Faster—a global leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic connection systems—has built its business on this challenge, developing solutions that improve performance and safety for agricultural machinery, construction equipment and a wide range of industrial applications worldwide. This ongoing commitment to research is reflected in a portfolio of 146 patents, which has grown by 44% over the past ten years, demonstrating the company’s ability to transform engineering challenges into practical, market-ready solutions. Behind this wealth of innovation stands a seventy-five-year history that has made Faster one of the industry's leading global players.

Founded in 1951 in Melzo, near Milan, under the name OMBA—an acronym for Officina Meccanica Bruno Arosio—the company adopted its current name in 1978 and relocated its headquarters to Rivolta d’Adda, in the province of Cremona, in 1996. Over the decades, Faster has established a strong international presence through strategic subsidiaries in the United States, Brazil, China and India, bringing its solutions to customers around the world. Since 2018, the company has been part of Helios Technologies, a NYSE-listed company (HLIO) specializing in the development of hydraulic and electronic motion control systems. In 2025, the Group generated revenue of €839 million, achieving annual growth of 4% (6% on a pro forma basis), with a market capitalization of approximately €2 billion. Through a continuous pipeline of technologically advanced product development and launches, innovation remains Faster’s strategic cornerstone, fully aligned with Helios’ long-term objectives.

This philosophy is reflected in the words of CEO Matteo Arduini: “We are proud to represent Italian industrial excellence around the world through our products. Italy’s success is built not only on food, fashion or tourism, but above all on industrial manufacturing that is innovative, competitive and committed to investing in the future. Our goal is to become increasingly competitive by delivering high-quality products supported by efficient processes and a constant focus on the needs of our customers and end users. Leadership is never achieved by chance—it is built through continuous investment in research, advanced technologies and state-of-the-art infrastructure.”

Faster’s patented innovations are far more than intellectual property—they are translated into manufacturing excellence every day. The company produces an average of 45 million components annually, at a pace of around 200,000 parts per day, while developing 3,500 new products and managing approximately 10,000 product codes each year. Most of its strategic operations are carried out in-house, including 90% of precision machining, 60% of cast components and 65% of assembly, as well as packaging, testing, warehousing and shipping. This vertically integrated approach ensures complete control, traceability and quality throughout the entire production process. Continuous investment in advanced technologies and quality control enables the company to transform its patented innovations into reliable, high-performance solutions.

Faster’s proprietary hydraulic connection systems are used across a wide range of industries, from agriculture—where its quick couplings are chosen every day by the world’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturers—to construction, oil and gas, refrigeration, forestry and mining. Through this integrated approach, Faster brings Italian innovation and manufacturing excellence to global markets, reinforcing its leadership position and its role as a benchmark for advanced technological connection solutions.
