Rotomolding is a printing technology particularly suitable to the production of big empty plastic parts. A heated hollow steel or aluminum mold is filled with a charge or shot weight of material (typically polyethylene powders), then is slowly rotated causing the softened material to disperse and stick to the walls of the mold. After a cooling phase, the mold is opened and the finished product is pulled out.
